YOGA FOR DANCERS AND ACTORS
For an actor and dancer, the body is their instrument. Relying on technique is sometimes not enough to present our art form. An active yoga class involving sun salutation work, voice awareness through vocal breath and execution, and overall conditioning for the core body area will teach actors and dancers to connect to the body internally. This internal connection will enhance performance technique, class presentation, posture, and your overall physical health.
Fri 6: 30 – 8:00 pm (1 1/2 Hours)
Instructor: Lindsay Schaefer
BODY PERCUSSION
Body Percussion is a type of dance that combines claps, slaps, stomps and vocal sounds to form a musical piece. This class is perfect for increased coordination, balance and musicality. In this class, students will also learn how to create their own percussive piece. It is recommended that students enrolled in this class be at least 2nd year dance and movement students. Otherwise, an audition is necessary for enrollment.
Tues 6: 30 – 7:30 pm (1 Hour)
Instructor: Camille Armstrong
