This musical, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder.  Rebuffed at every turn with a similar echoing response, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his Christmas tree.  All the iconic scenes from the movie are here, and the delightfully versatile score ranges from gentle ballads to show-stopping full-ensemble numbers.   A Christmas Story, The Musical captures holiday wonder with such deliciously wicked wit that it is sure to delight children and grown ups alike!

The Diary of Anne Frank
A Play by Frances Goodrich & Albert Hackett
Based upon Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl
Newly Adapted by Wendy Kesselman

February 16th-18th
Grades K-12

In this transcendentally powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit, and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, The Diary of Anne Frank captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence—their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief. Each day of these two dark years, Anne’s voice shines through: “When I write I shake off all my cares. But I want to achieve more than that. I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” This is a new adaptation for a new generation.
