Hip-Hop/Breakdancing

These classes are funky, fun, energetic, and exciting for all levels of dancers. Not recommended for children under 9 years old. No previous training required for Hip Hop I. Also recommended — Break Dancing.

Hip Hop I (Ages 9-12) (1 hour) 

Tuesdays: 4:30 – 5:30 PM

Hip Hop II (Ages 12+) (1 hour) 

Tuesdays: 7:30 – 8:30 PM

Breakdancing (Ages 9+)

This class combines Old-School, Brea Boy Bronx-Style, Popping, Locking and Boogaloo – a more fluid style of breakdancing created on the West Coast. This class will help improve balance, rhythm and is great for body and core strengthening. If not recommended, must have instructor’s permission.

Tuesdays 8:30 – 9:30PM

Advanced Breakdancing (Instructor’s Permission only)

This class explores the style of urban dance with intricate footwork, tumbling, acrobatic movements, and more.  Combining strength, momentum, balance, and creativity, this class examines today’s popular styles of Breakdance including Old-School, Break Boy Bronx-Style, Popping, Locking, and Boogaloo at a more advanced level.  Students will work on skills such as windmills, swipes, front/back tucks, yodas, flares, ufos, aerials, and more.  Must have instructor’s permission.
