BALLET

Ballet is the foundation for all dance forms, and PYT recommends all dance students take Ballet to achieve a solid foundation as they explore the art of Dance.  Instruction progresses through basic barre and centre work to combined technique and pointe work for the more accomplished dancer.  Dance Division students will perform at Dancers in Concert on June 3rd, 2012.

JAZZ, TAP, MODERN, BROADYWAY STYLES, HIP-HOP & BODY PERCUSSION

This year, PYT is offering an assortment of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Modern dance classes- as well as several new classes.  Students are placed in classes according to their age, experience, and ability.  Advancement through each level is determined by these factors, plus the instructor's recommendations.  Most students can expect to remain two years at each level.  Instruction progresses through the basics to more challenging and complex material emphasizing technique and style.  Dance Division students will perform in Dancers in Concert on June 3rd, 2012.
